JOB DEScription

We are seeking a junior associate to join our remote team. This role is ideal for someone early in their communications career who is eager to learn, highly organized and ready to contribute to meaningful projects across multiple clients. You will work closely with senior team members to execute communications strategies, create compelling content and manage day-to-day tasks that help position SINA and our clients for success. This is a dynamic position that offers the opportunity to build skills in strategic communications, content creation, digital and social media, event support, and media outreach. Some travel may be required. 

Key Responsibilities and Anticipated Time Breakdown

  • Project Coordination and Support (25%) — Conduct necessary research, compile and respond to topical requests, track deadlines, manage task lists and agendas, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality work across multiple projects.

  • Content Creation (25%) — Draft and edit engaging, audience-focused content for various platforms, including blogs, social media, newsletters and thought leadership pieces.

  • Digital and Social Media (25%) — Assist in managing client digital presence, including website updates, basic analytics tracking and social profile management.

  • Media Outreach Support (15%) — Research outlets and identify relevant media opportunities, draft basic pitches and talking points, and help coordinate interviews.

  • Event and Logistics Support (10%) — Help with logistics for virtual and in-person events, including drafting materials, managing vendors and stakeholders, tracking timelines and promotion.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1–3 years of relevant experience in communications, public relations or a related field. A degree is not required.

  • Skills: Strong writing and verbal communication skills; comfort with digital and social media platforms; excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail; ability to work independently and ask for help when needed.

  • Knowledge Base: Interest in or some exposure to education, workforce development, philanthropy or social impact sectors is preferred.

  • Traits: Proactive, adaptable, collaborative and eager to learn.
